Description

From 1952, out of California, comes Lester Young and Illinois Jacquet with their album Battle Of The Saxes on Aladdin 701 MONO deep groove blue label 10 inch. Ultra rare original 10 inch record of this eight cut album. Side 1 features four cuts by Illinois Jacquet and Side 2 features four cuts by Lester Young. Ultra rare!! This is only the second time in 34 plus years I have had it! This is the first LP that the California based Aladdin label issued!

ALL RECORDS GRADED VISUALLY WITH 150 WATT BULB AND 34 PLUS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!!

ANY AND ALL FLAWS WILL BE LISTED AND DESCRIBED IN DETAIL BEFORE THE GRADING IS GIVEN. IF THERE IS NO PARTICULAR FLAW LISTED, THEN IT IS NOT PRESENT IN THE ITEM! IF THERE ARE NO FLAWS LISTED AT ALL, THEN THE ITEM IS EITHER MINT MINUS OR STILL SEALED OR NEW AND NEVER PLAYED. THE DEFINITION OF MINT MINUS IS THAT THE ITEM HAS BEEN TOUCHED BY HUMAN HANDS AND PERHAPS PLAYED ONCE.

FLAWS: Drip on middle of front cover (no attempt has been made to remove it),mall white on left seam, corner rub lower left seam, tiny knock upper right seam at corner, high spot dirt.

GRADING:  Hard pressed to find one in better shape!! Cover is VG++ and record has spindle marks-the wax is VG+ with better than VG+ but not VG++ labels!

Any glares/reflections/shadows in photos are just from my camera!
