LES SINNERS “Vox Populi” TOP! Rare Original 1968 French Canadian Fuzz Pop Psych lp!

1968/Canada/Jupiter Records YDS 8015…..here’s a nice orginal pressing of this Rare an excellent lp. Pretty much the best French Canadian lp to my ears. This record is really trippy and full of fuzz and all the other right ingredients that make a monster listen, and it has become very hard to find! The cover is in solid condition. The front cover has slight shelf wear, rubber stamp left side, old tape stain top right and small paper tears top right corner, there is a light crease bottom right edge, corner wear, the back has 2 rubber stamps, one on either side closer to the top, top left corner is ripped on cover slick, faint writing by track lists, staining top right, shelf wear, otherwise the cover is fine with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in glossy Excellent condition with just very few super light inaudible sleeve lines/scuffs. The record plays clean with light occasional noise mainly between tracks and plays with clean crisp fidelity. The labels are clean with a couple of light spindle marks. A tough one to find and this copy is nice! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking!

Vox Populi shares a concept similar to that of the Kink’s Face to Face album. Many of the songs are 2.5 to 3 minute pop-art gems and the album displays a good stoned sense of humor throughout. It’s almost useless to pick out key tracks as Vox Populi is very consistent and individual. Everything Will Be Fine, Nothing Is Happening, and Today, Tomorrow are all strong psych pop tracks with good atmospheric vocals, an “english feel” and a nice, trippy production. Other hard rocking highlights are the muscular, lean rocker Late and the brilliant Don’t You Run Away. Don’t You Run Away is a killer fuzz laden psych punker that sounds similar to a really good cut off the Outsiders’ C.Q. or the Pretty Things’ S.F. Sorrow. Another strong track, The Days Are Gone is a superb melancholy rocker that harkens back to an earlier time in rock history.

GRADING

MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.

M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
