'LES BEATLES' - 'LONG TALL SALLY' - FRENCH, 4-TRACK MONO VINYL EP  - ODEON  - SOE 3755 - 1964


Description

This is a 4-track mono vinyl EP, issued on a French label by The Beatles (Les Beatles)

The EP was released in 1964 on the Odeon label. 

This is, I think, the seventh EP released by The Beatles.

It is identical in composition to the UK release, on Parlophone, cat. no. GEP 8913 and contains just one, original Lennon & McCartney song.

Side A

1. "Long Tall Sally" (Robert Blackwell, Enotris Johnson, Richard Penniman) - (although only credited to Johnson on the label)

2. "I Call Your Name" (John Lennon, Paul McCartney)

Side B

1. "Slow Down" (Larry Williams)

2. "Matchbox" (Carl Perkins)

Laminated picture sleeve with flip backs. The front features a colour photo of the band posed standing in the sea and waving at the camera (reminiscent of the Help! cover). The photo is credited to Dezo Hoffmann on the back. The back has a full track listing with writing credits and running times. There are also small pictures and details of 4 other EPs available by 'Les Beatles' on the Odeon label.

  • Large centre hole.

     

Condition

The vinyl  looks VG+. 

No noticeable marks or scratches, no pops or surface noise on playback. Plays well . 

The sleeve is VG+, no noticeable marks just some very slight edge wear and ring wear.
