Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:

ARTIST: Les Baxter and His Orchestra LABEL: Capitol Records T-774 MONO BLACK LABEL PROMOTIONAL Pressing CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Jacket has moderate overall wear, with several stickers and stampings, along with the Capitol Promotional Use sticker; there is also corner and edge wear; SPECIAL NOTE: Includes original full color inner sleeve - Please see actual album photos) VINYL - Near Mint(Vinyl glows with vitality; the labels are very rare black Promo, with each label bearing the same reference sticker as the cover - Graded using special daylight balanced spotlight)
SPECIAL FEATURES: Beautiful and extremely rare, this Les Baxter "Skins!" BLACK LABEL PROMO album personifies the best in early-exotica percussion based music, both in playing and in variety of tunes (these songs have a definite "world" theme). Made in '57, this is a classic Capitol clear deep-groove MONO recording, filled with surprise and excitement for the listener.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
