Original (Paper w/ Plastic) Inner Sleeve is in Very Good Shape (small tear on one edge).  

Vinyl is in Near Mint shape.  

Possibly played once if at all - Well kept and Maintained.  

Great one to listen to or frame.

Leoš Janá?ek (Czech: [?l?o? ?jana?t??k] (listen),[1] baptised Leo Eugen Janá?ek; 3 July 1854 – 12 August 1928) was a Czech composer, musical theorist, folklorist, publicist and teacher. He was inspired by Moravian and other Slavic folk music to create an original, modern musical style.[2]

Until 1895 he devoted himself mainly to folkloristic research. While his early musical output was influenced by contemporaries such as Antonín Dvo?ák,[2] his later, mature works incorporate his earlier studies of national folk music in a modern, highly original synthesis, first evident in the opera Jen?fa, which was premiered in 1904 in Brno.[3] The success of Jen?fa (often called the "Moravian national opera") at Prague in 1916 gave Janá?ek access to the world's great opera stages.[4][5] Janá?ek's later works are his most celebrated. They include operas such as Ká?a Kabanová and The Cunning Little Vixen, the Sinfonietta, the Glagolitic Mass, the rhapsody Taras Bulba, two string quartets, and other chamber works. Along with Dvo?ák and Bed?ich Smetana, he is considered one of the most important Czech composers

Born Eva Surányi in Budapest, she identified with the music of her Hungarian compatriot Béla Bartók, a performance of his Piano Concerto No 3 prompting the conductor Franz Konwitschny to comment that the music had suddenly become “as lucid as Mozart”; her recording of the work was reissued in 2003.

She had been encouraged to study music by her mother, entering the Liszt Academy at the age of seven. There she studied with Béla Böszörményi-Nagy and Paul Weingarten. As a Jewish family, Eva and her parents suffered greatly after the Germans occupied Hungary in March 1944. Their home was confiscated and they were taken to the ghetto, where they were forced to stay until liberation in January 1945.

After resuming her studies, Eva met Josef Bernáth, a Czech violinist, in Leó Weiner’s chamber music class. They married in 1947 and settled in Prague: visitors to their home included the pianists Sviatoslav Richter and Annie Fischer, the violinist David Oistrakh and the conductor Karel An?erl.

A recording of music by Leoš Janá?ek won a Grand Prix du Disque award. With the Jána?ek Quartet, Eva toured the UK, Australia and New Zealand, and they recorded quintets by Franck (another Grand Prix du Disque winner), Shostakovich, Dvo?ák and Brahms. Eva’s other recordings included Balakirev’s Islamey, solo works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Liszt and Vo?íšek, and concertos by Ravel, Franck and Martin?.

-         I try to get everything out the next available postal day after payment clears, but my ‘day job’ is very hectic and chaotic from time to time so there might be a couple days delay until I can get to the post office.  Further with the Federal closing of smaller post offices (mine included), it might take a couple extra days to arrive.

-         If you need it quickly, just ask and I usually have no problem accommodating your wishes.

-         I combine shipping.    

-        I sell and ship internationally.  However, once it leaves the United States, buyers assume the risk of the package getting there, if it makes it to that country intact, which is more than fair. Blame France for that one.....
