LEO PARKER – LET ME TELL YOU ‘BOUT IT – BLUE NOTE BLP 4087 – NEAR MINT – NEW YORK – MONO
This Rudy Van Gelder session was recorded on September 9, 1961 and features Leo Parker on baritone, John Burk on trumpet, Bill Swindell on tenor, Yusef Salim on piano, Stan Conover on bass and Purnell Rice on drums. Their selections are: SIDE 1: GLAD LAD; BLUE LEO; LET ME TELL YOU ‘BOUT IT and VI. SIDE 2: PARKER’S PALS; LOW BROWN and TCTB. The label has “NEW YORK USA” on it. On the blank vinyl on both sides is the “Ear” stamp and the initials “RVG”. This is a Mono recording.
I have rated this LP as near Mint for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean on both sides. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side. The record jacket is in excellent condition with little sign of wear. The address on the jacket is 43 West 61st., New York 23 on it.
