Description

Here’s your chance for a real rarity! 12-String Blues (subtitled Live at the Scholar Coffeehouse), is the very first album by legendary guitarist Leo Kottke. It is not a studio album, but was recorded live in 1969 at the Ten O'Clock Scholar, a Minneapolis coffee house that had also featured Bob Dylan, John Koerner and Simon & Garfunkel early in their careers.  Most of these songs were re-recorded for Kottke's third album Circle Round The Sun.

This album, on the justly-named Oblivion Records (their only known product), is out of print and has not been reissued on CD.  I am the original owner, having purchased this brand-new off the shelf of my local record store (remember those?) circa 1972.  I have played it maybe five times in its lifetime, and have kept it carefully stored for the past 35+ years.  It is in excellent condition.  The dust jacket is spotless and the seams are all tight.  There is some very faint scuffing to the jacket from minor ring wear, but you have to look closely to see it.  The vinyl is flawless and free of any soiling or scratching.    The light reflecting from the flash in my photo somewhat distorts the image of the vinyl.  Trust me, the original luster is very much intact and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.  There are the occasional surface sounds here and there that you’d expect from vinyl this old.  The original inner sleeve is also pristine
