Description

First pressing Blue Note 1578 with ear and deep groove both sides.   vinyl is nm- and cover is vg++.   cover has some chipping and flaking upper left corner and lower right corner.  Beginning of split middle top seam.   Laminate still very nice.  Looks great.   some browning on back along top.   please see pics.   Record plays great.   One of the great blue notes.   Resonable reserve.  Please check my other auctions.   Please wait for invoice. The trumpeter, then just 19, teams up with baritonist Pepper Adams, pianist Bobby Timmons, bassist Paul Chambers and drummer Philly Joe Jones for a particularly strong set that is highlighted by a lengthy and fiery "Night in Tunisia," "Lover Man" and a rapid rendition of "Just One of Those Things." Morgan plays remarkably well for his age (already ranking just below Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis), making this an essential acquisition.
