Description
Up for auction is a beautiful 1964 Mono 1st US Pressing of "Lee Morgan - Sidewinder" mono version Vinyl LP released in 1964 on Blue Note Records, BLP 4157.
This is the 1st MONO pressing from 1964 with both the Plastylite "P" EAR and Van Gelder stamped in the deadwax near the matrix #'s. The matrix #'s are [ear] BNLP-4157-A VAN GELDER and [ear] BNLP-4157-B VAN GELDER for side 1 and 2, respectively. W 61st address on bottom of rear cover.
LABELS: are in EX- condition, with "Blue Note Records Inc · New York, USA" printed.
VINYL: is in VG++ condition with only some very minor natural sleeve wear in a couple of small places to mention. No spindle wear on the labels.
SLEEVE: is in VG++ condition. There is some very minor ringwear to the front cover, which is nornal. It is very light though. Spine is super clean, no tears and the writing is very cearly visible. There is a minor lower left corner ding , see photos. There may be some uniform discoloring of the sleeve as white paper this old tends to do over time. Please see pictures and zoom in for acurate view.
Comes with original Blue Note insert. Overall a VG++ copy teetering right on the edge of EX- condition, IMO.
