Description
For sale is an exemplary copy of the Lee Morgan Sextet's self-titled debut lp on the deep groove Blue Note label, BLP 1541, mono with the Lexington Avenue address, RVG and ear in dead wax, no "R" after the "E", with the flat edge. Cover rates VG+++, very light wear and slight imperfection on the right hand side of the front cover, where the paste over image hasn't been laid down perfectly (see photo above). Vinyl rates VG+... there is a small imperfection in a tiny part of the dead wax/"flat edge" of Side A, where a slight excess of vinyl in the production process has created a tiny curve/bump. Only visible in a raking light, it does not effect play and does not continue through the lp to Side B. A superb copy of this scarce lp. Please see my other auctions for some more scarce first pressing early jazz lps up this week, all from the same meticulously-kept collection and all starting at $19.95 with no reserve.
