LP is in (NM) condition.
The thick, lustrous vinyl appears to have been seldom if ever played. However there are some superficial long term storage marks that do not sound.
The fidelity is superb, with no distortion, pops, or clicks of any kind, just a few light and sporadic tics.

Jacket is in (NM) condition.
Original heavy jacket is in (NM) condition. All seams are in excellent condition with no signs of splits or cracking. Corners show a miniscule amount wear as seen in photos. The back slick is very clean and mark free also seen in the image.

Every genre has its prodigies. Jazz had Lee Morgan. At 18, Morgan was already a mature improviser with a sound and a confident style of his own. While influenced by Clifford Brown who died just a few months before Morgan recorded his debut album, Morgan was rapidly becoming one of the great hard bop trumpeters, filling the huge vacuum left by Brown's absence.Morgan began carving out his musical legacy while still a teenager and never looked back. He emerged from Philadelphia in 1956 playing with such brilliance that he was dubbed "the new Clifford Brown." Dizzy Gillespie, on one of his tour stops in Philly, heard Lee play and immediately hired him for Gillespie's own globe trotting band.
Lee was never a mere copy or revivalist but a powerful creative force from the start with his own fresh musical ideas. Few 18-year old's in jazz history have started out at such a high level and maintained it throughout their career.
Record Grading Codes
N/N- = Virtually flawless in all aspects, with original sound fidelity. Record appears unplayed.
NM = Near Mint. Exceptional condition and sound fidelity, with minor (if any) visible signs of use.
EX+ = Excellent Plus. Near new label and jacket appearance, showing careful usage. Topical surface marks may exist, such as paper sleeve marks, and other signs of incidental handling that will not cause intrusively audible surface noise. Audio quality far outweighs any marginal appearance flaws.
EX = Excellent Condition. Appearance shows moderate use, but a good degree of enjoyable play is available; the record shows reasonable care in handling. Audio is only lightly affected by intermittent surface noise, and music retains its full spectrum of fidelity, with no mistracking. What we call a listener's copy.
Jacket Grading Codes
NM- = A record jacket showing little or no wear, with no marks on front or back. Seams, spines, corners are not worn to any degree. Lamination completely intact.
EX+ = A record jacket that shows only light and topical wear, typically acquired during years of normal careful storage and usage. Reasonably fine appearance can be expected, with no repairs or seam and edge damage.
EX = A record jacket that has acquired a little more shelf and storage wear, still retaining its original structural integrity. Small seam split repairs, light corner and edge wear likely.
Note: + or - may be used to indicate slight variations in quality within each rating.
Record jackets are equal to disc condition with exceptions noted. All efforts are made to accurately denote record and jacket conditions. Records are graded aurally and visually and are professional cleaned when needed, but above all are guaranteed to conform to the grade assigned.
