Description
ARTIST: Lee Gagnon
TITLE: Jeremie
LABEL: Opus OP 509
Pressing: Canada
VINYL: EXC
COVER: EXC
The buzz on Lee Gagnon's composition for this jazz ballet just won't die down ....and funk collectors know why.
Wall to wall breaks, nasty-sounding guitars, bass & drums, ....and a DJ haven for samples and snippets.
On this original rock opera commisioned for the avant-garde Ballet-Jazz stage presentation, Lee Gagnon (composer, orchestration & percussion) is accompanied by a who's-who of Quebec musiciens .....including Pierre Leduc (piano), Richard Provencal (drums), Richard Ring & Pierre Girard (guitars), Don Habib (bass), Claude Garden (harmonica), a full supporting orchestra with winds, flutes, violins, etc., and the haunting vocal effects of Andrée Lachapelle.
Rave reviews from everyone from "Rolling Stone" to "Blaxploitation.com". Tracks from this monster LP have been featured on "Dusty Fingers #10", "Canadian Racer" and others, but the album itself has never been re-issued on CD.
EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!
