Description

This is an Auction for the debut Lp by Led Zeppelin released in the Uk in 1969 on Atlantic records Catalogue number Atlantic 588171. This is a first press with the Warners Credit with A1 and B1 matrix numbers and is in superb condition throughout. The matrix number has the corrected 8 in it.

The Heavy first press Vinyl is visually in Excellent+ condition with a lovely sheen and  looks superb. There are some very very light superficial sleeve removal marks visible under strong light but it still looks great. The record sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. There is some very light background noise but on the whole this album thunders highlighting that this is the only way to really appreciate this magnifecent record . Overall i would grade the Audio as Excellent+ if not better for a 41 year old Lp.

The Red and Plumb labels are in Excellent condition with a couple of light spindle marks.

The Macneill Press Ltd laminate sleeve with the orange writing and grey strip along the bottam is in Very Good++ condition with some light creasing and very minor storage wear to the corners. This could be graded even higher as the sleeve is 41 years old.

The Lp comes with its original inner sleeve British Patent No 800513 and 073939 which is also in very good condition. The Lp will be sent in a new inner sleeve seperate from the main sleeve.

OVERALL A SUPERB COPY OF THIS RARE LP.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS.

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of  £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Please note that i combine shipping for multiple buys. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
