LED ZEPPELIN  -  ‘Led Zeppelin’    6LP box set   UK/Europe     1990     Atlantic  7567-82144-1

Lavish 54 track box set featuring (at the time of release) some previously unreleased tracks.    Compiling and remastering took place in early 1990 and was personally overseen by Jimmy Page.   

Each of the six albums come in their own printed inner sleeve and the box set also includes the 36 page colour booklet.    

CONDITION:       I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good natural light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).   All used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing.    STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.

SUPERB PLAYING CONDITION.      Playing condition is easily EX+/NrMINT, with the vast majority of the record actually playing better.    Album has clearly had very, very little previous play.   99% of the album plays as new.  Couple of tracks have some occasional light pops – low in the mix.   Several audible pops on the intro to ‘Battle Of Evermore’.      Overall, NO crackle  NO loud consecutive clicks   NO distortion  NO jumps  NO sticking.   Stunning. 

Visually the vinyl is graded as NrMINT.     No discernible difference compared to brand new records.   Very few and very faint surface-only marks – very hard to see and not easily visible - only noticeable when studying the playing surface.   Vinyl lovely and clean and retains its original sheen. 

Labels are NrMINT.   Some sides have few and faint spindles.    All text perfectly readable.    NO writing.   NO stickers.

Inners are in NrMINT condition.  Inners are made of thin paper so there is some light crumpling/creasing.   NO seam splits  NO stickers  NO writing.  

Booklet in MINT condition.  

Outer box in EX condition, if not better.  Very small area of damage on the top edge (see photos).  Small shallow dent on the back.   Otherwise box looks great.  No other edge/corner wear.  Still lovely and clean.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System  - VINYL

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
