Description

It is important to explain the differences between this genuine first pressing and more common later pressings.

FIRSTLY the ‘BOX SHAPED’ sleeve, printed and made in England by GOTHIC PRINT FINISHERS LTD. is made from very thick quality card (later pressings are much thinner), SECONDLY the card insert is shaped to wrap around the two records, and is made from thick card rather than paper, and THIRDLY the picture inner sleeves are made from much thicker card than later pressings, and are slightly different in colour.

It is important to stress that all PARTS OF THIS LP ARE UK FIRST PRESSED!!!  Often on later pressings covers and inners of German origin were used - BUT THIS LP IS A 100% GENIUNE 'EARLIEST' UK FIRST PRESSING WITH A UK MADE COVER, UK MADE INNERS AND UK FIRST PRESSED SET OF RECORDS!!!

 

Swan Song Label, Catalogue Number SSK 89400, 1975 UK first pressing. Earliest Matrix Numbers A1, B4, C1, D1.

Vinyl condition: VG+, just surface scuffs from the card inners. All 4 sides play superbly with all frequencies clear and a minimum of unwanted noise. Labels show only very light spindle marking.

Sleeve condition: VG+ . A very presentable sleeve, just some rubbing to the corners and a tiny split to the top right corner. Front and back covers excellent, window cut-outs perfect and spine excellent. 

The picture card inners are in excellent condition, as is the shaped card insert (apart from some discoloration).

Overall a lovely complete first pressing of Led Zeppelin's masterpiece.
