Here for sale is my original 1971 LED Zeppelin untitled fourth album IV in near mint excellent plus condition. Bidding starting at just £9.99!!!! with no reserve.
This is an incredibly valuable 1st Pressing and in fantastic hardly ever played condition!!!
A//3 B//3 with Pecko Duck etched on side I in the dead wax and Porky on side 2.
I was given this album by my then girlfriend on December 7th 1971 my birthday, shortly after it was first released in November. As I had already bought one myself this album was never played and sat in the record shelves in my bedroom away from any sunlight so vitally no fading to the spine at all. No spindle wear at all!
An incredible album that beats you up, then slightly calms you down, before then beating you up again, with one of the best hard rock sounds of the time along with The Who. Beautifully engineered by Andy Johns at Headley Grange. Worth playing really loud on a good sound system, although try to wait till the neighbours are away!
The vinyl is in immaculate condition and plays through amazingly on both sides with just the very occasional dust pop noticeable in the run-ins between tracks. (See video).
The gatefold album sleeve is in very good if not excellent condition, with a fantastic spine and sharp edges.
Being ultra fussy here are four minor points worth noting, shown in the last photo. Small white mark on bottom of front cover, slight mark on front right side, very slight crinkle to edge of opening to rear gatefold, and very small crease mark to the black print on lower inside left of gatefold.
The original inner sleeve is in very good condition, with slight crinkle on one side and a split on the bottom.
There is hardly any background static pops or crackle, the vinyl plays almost like it’s fresh out of the record shop in 1971 please listen to the video clip.
