Description
LED ZEPPELIN
LED ZEP 3/III LP
VERY RARE
1970 1st UK PRESSING WITH THE
'PETER GRANT' CREDIT ON THE LABEL
ATLANTIC 2401002
(later 1st pressings were hyphenated to 2401-002)
A5/B5
1st pressing matrix numbers
'do what thou wilt' & 'so mote it be' etched in the run-off grooves
Cover: Ex+. Laminated 'rotating wheel' cover. 1st pressing UK de-luxe cover with de-luxe printed on the front cover and on the spine. Not an inferior German de-luxe cover which many pressings came with. Inside has the the text on the right hand side - later pressings had the text on the left hand side of the inner gatefold. Rotating wheel works perfectly. No writings/doodles or seam splits. Please note that the seams at the top and bottom of front cover are not glued by the manufacturers in the centre - this is to allow the wheel to rotate freely.
Labels: Excellent. Has the rarer 1st pressing 'Peter Grant' credit on the label - later pressings omitted this text. Side 1 has previous owner's initials.
Vinyl: Play tested. Heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. Nice sheen. Both sides have only light feathering. Side 1 - 1st track has some clicks for 7 seconds and Side 2 1st track for about 15 seconds. After this the rest of the record plays Excellent without any skips or jumps and virtually no background noise at all - fabulous sound. Not sure what causes the clicks at the beginning of both sides as I cannot see any marks. Maybe a professional clean might help.
Postage & packaging: £3.50 (UK) £5 (EUROPE) & £7 (REST OF THE WORLD)
