LED ZEPPELIN

LED ZEPPELIN III

ORIGINAL RED AND PLUM LABEL - 1970

GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH SPINNING WHEEL

ATLANTIC DELUXE 2401 002

1st pressing UK stereo LP, release date 1970 on the PLUM & RED Atlantic label.

E.J. Day Group, London credit on sleeve!!!

A true 1st pressing and in superb condition!!!

Catalogue number: 2401 002

Matrix Nos: 2401002 A-5 and B-5 with Do what thou wilt & So mote it be correctly written in the run out groves

Condition of cover/record: EX+ / EX (Grading as used by Record Collector)

The cover is in EXCELLENT condition, beautifully clean, laminated glossy finish. There is some laminate creasing which I would assume happened in the factory, but it's not serious. The die cut holes are crisp and sharp and the spinning wheel is completely intact with no wear or scuffing to the rotating edge, but has come loose from its fixing. The spine is still strong and new looking with no wear, even to the corners. INFACT, THERE IS NO WEAR - ANYWHERE! The inside of the gatefold is also very clean, bright and in excellent condition. It features the track listing on the right side of the gatefold which signifies the earliest and rarest release. All in all a beautiful cover in superb condition with no writing, no stickers or residue, no creasing, no ringwear, no rips, no tears, no yellowing... a strong EX+

The inner sleeve is original white and is in good condition.

The two PLUM labels are bright, clean and colourful and in excellent condition with only very minor spindle marks. No writting or stickers! The record is lusterous and glossy - there are a few light surface marks and a couple of very light scratches, but they don't affect play. There is no bad clicks, pops or background/surface noise. The audio on this 1st UK pressing is simply stunning, producing a very warm tone - loud and crystal clear. Classics such as "Since I've Been Loving You" and "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" sound totally mind blowing on this rich original pressing and you can really hear why these PLUM pressings are so collectable. Visually, EX, aurally, EX+! Beautiful!!!

I have listened to this record all the way through to ensure an acurate description.
