Released on the Atlantic "red/maroon" label, in a fully laminated gatefold sleeve with working wheel.

1st Cat on labels , 2nd Cat on sleeve

Specific to the first pressing ; (1) 2401002 (on labels)
(2) Produced by Jimmy Page , Executive Producer : Peter Grant (credited on top half of labels)
(3) Warner Bros. Music Ltd.
(4) Matrix numbers end with A5 and B5.

Various matrix number combinations from A6/A7 to B5/B6/B7 may exist with the above described first generation of label. They are transitional copies from the first pressing to the second pressing (the ones without Peter Grant credits), and they are later copies.

Directly after the Peter Grant credit was removed another label was released with a track error
the track 'celebration day' was incorrectly typed 'celebration' and was immediately changed to the latter label variarion

(Later subsequent pressings released on the Red/maroon labels do not have the Executive Producer Peter Grant credits on the label, the label Cat# appears as 2401-002 and the publisher credits appear only as Warner Bros. Music)

CONDITION 

RECORD IS EXCELLENT  , LOVELY WITH A DEEP GLOSSY LIKE NEW RAINBOW SHEEN TO THE VINYL SURFACES WHICH ARE CLEAN AND BRIGHT. OBVIOUSLY PLAYED IN THE LAST 54 YEARS BUT I CAN ONLY SEE A COUPLE OF VERY FEINT HAIRLINES EACH SIDE AND A SMALL  MARK ON SIDE 1 TRACK 1/2 BUT ONLY WHEN VINYL IS TILTED, UNDER A STRONG LIGHT, NOT FEELABLE, JUST COSMETIC NO EFFECT ON AUDIO PLAYBACK,  (SEE PICS)

THEREFORE A GREAT AUDIO EXPERIENCE WHEN PLAYTESTED ON MY REGA TURNTABLE, VERY SLIGHTEST STATIC AT RUN INS ONLY LOVELY !!!

THE EARNEST J DAY GATEFOLD RECORD SLEEVE IS EXCELLENT. 

THE FIRST LAMINATED PRINT WITH FULLY WORKING WHEEL. SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT OVERALL GLOSSY CONDITION , SMALLEST CORNER RUB & LAMINATE CREASING PRESENT WITH AN UNCRUSHED SEAM AND NO LAMINATE LIFT THE SPINE IS STILL FULLY LEGIBLE,  AND THE OPENING EDGE IS CLEAN AND DEFINED.(SEE ALL PICS)

FIRST PRESS INNER IS ALSO IN CLEAN CONDITION WITH SOME VERY MILD CORNER CREASING & AGE-RELATED FOXING THROUGH STORAGE ONLY (SEE ALL PICS)

ATLANTIC PLUM FIRST PRESS LABELS ARE IN SUPERB CONDITION (SEE PICS) WITH JUST A COUPLE OF FEINT SPINDLE MARKS CONFINED TO THE DISC CENTRE CONFIRMING VERY FEW PLAYS IN 52 YEARS

SO, IN CONCLUSION, NOT ONLY A VERY RARE SUPER CONDITION UK FIRST PRESS BUT IMPORTANTLY THE VINYL SOUNDS GREAT!!!!
