Description
Highly sought original Atlantic Records SD8236 1969 copy of 'Led Zeppelin II' featuring the famed Robert Ludwig 'Hot Mix' mastering. RL & RL/SS on both sides of the run-outs.
SS (sterling sound) following the 'RL' is only on side 2- but both sides do have the 'RL' deadwax etchings.Copy being offered here is in solid VG condition and plays cleanly w/only light underlying noise/crackle heard mostly at the lead in's of the 2 sides,in-between tracks and during the quieter sections of the album.Any extraneous noise never overpowers the music itself. Some light marks/scuffing are visible thus creating the VG grade and retains good shine.None of the marks/scuffs are deep or feel-able so as to interrupt a consistent playback. Flaws are cosmetic in nature and as stated earlier,the LP plays clean w/light surface noise and sounds gigantic..Had to turn the volume down during the check and it wasn't even turned up loud.A good sign..Not a mint copy of course but this one sounded much better than I expected it to. Gatefold cover is solid w/light edge wear,no splits and a small white 1/4" sticker covering a previous owner's name on the bottom right front corner (see last pic).Anti-static inner sleeve & original Atlantic factory inner included..Nice solid VG copy of the elusive 'RL' Zep II at an affordable price..Thanks for your interest.
