Description
1969 Original 1st pressing of Led Zeppelin II. This is the famed Robert Ludwig Mastered version of this LP (both sides have the RL etching,but side 2 has RL/SS w/the narrow deadwax). Vinyl shows some very faint hairlines/sleeve scuffs-nothing tragic & these are mostly found on side one. Still retains great sheen & easily grades at VG+. Sound-wise, there is sporadic light crackle in random spots (usually in between tracks & during some of the quieter sections of select songs) that never overpowers the music. (LP may benefit from a more thorough professional cleaning) Played the entire LP before listing at a fairly loud volume and was impressed w/the sonic qualities of the playback-Cymbal clarity in particular struck me this time around.Most people talk about the bottom end on these pressings,which is no doubt phenomenal ,but the highs really shine here as well. Gatefold cover is a true 69' 'Brown Bomber' sleeve utilizing the darker brown tones found only on true U.S. 1st pressings of this album sleeve. NO gold record award sticker. Real clean & solid w/only very minor spine wear. Original Atlantic company inner sleeve is present. Only issue is the record pocket half of sleeve has about an 1&1/2" split starting up top and on the bottom-(see last 2 pics) not too bad..Overall, a loud & proud copy of this legendary RL mastered 2nd Zeppelin LP. Will pack w/care in a new resealable poly sleeve. Thanks for looking & GOOD LUCK if you should bid.
