LED ZEPPELIN
"II"
(Atlantic SD-8236)
Rare Robert Ludwig mastered Columbia CTH pressing.
Has RL ss on side one. LH ss (Lee Hulko) on side 2. It is well known that this variation, although it has LH on side two, is still mastered to Ludwig’s specs by his partner at Sterling Sound and should be considered sonically nearly equal to RL/RL copies. And of course finding RL copies above VG grade is quite difficult.
Visually: VG++. Some hairlines and one very small scuff.
I have play graded the entire album with 1.5 grams tracking pressure:
Mostly VG++ with these exceptions:
"Whole Lotta Love": Two pops occurred.
"What is and What Should Never Be": Some light crackle in a few quiet spots.
"Thank You": Some crackle during the quiet outro.
"Bring It on Home": A fair amount of crackle during the quiet outro.
Cover: VG++ Just light wear.
Please note that because of an increasing amount of LP buyer fraud has occurred of late with high priced albums, this item will be photographically documented and filed with Ebay before it is shipped out to the winner.
