Description

This is one of the first pressings of Led Zeppelin's second album. It was mastered by the legendary Bob Ludwig who loaded the record with such a heavy bass that the record players of the time couldn't handle it. It was quickly remastered and toned down quite a bit. However, on the stereo equipment that was to come later, the record sounds incredible. This US released version mastered by Bob Ludwig is universally accepted as the best sounding Led Zeppelin II on vinyl. I'm going to try to describe everything as accurate as possible here. The record is just short of a VG++. It has a few light marks, but plays beautifully all the way through. The cover is the original and is also just short of VG++.It has some wear spots along the outside edges, but nothing major. Side one has a wide deadwax area with the AT/RL at 4 o'clock. The matrix # is ST - A - 691671 - A. Then there is an LW with a P below it at 10 o'clock. Also a W at 8 o'clock. Side two has a thin deadwax area with RL SS at 9 o'clock. It has a W at 4 o'clock. The matrix # is ST - A - 691672 - A. It has an LW/P at 11 o'clock and an AT at 10 o'clock. The labels are in nice shape with no spindle marks. It has the original inner sleeve with a split on the bottom seam. This record is for anyone who would like to hear what Led Zeppelin II was meant to sound like. There just aren't that many left out there, especially in enjoyable condition. Bid with confidence! Item is as described.
