Description

LED ZEPPELIN - " LED ZEPPELIN II ", Atlantic Records (588198) Stereo, 1969.

Very rare English 1st LP issue of the classic '69 Zeppelin LP with original Plum and Orange labels and gatefold sleeve - see photo.

This early pressing features these matrix numbers: SIDE A = 588198  A v 2 / SIDE  B = 588198  B // 5

English issue and pressing.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo)

CONDITION:

VINYL =  EXCELLENT  (No deep scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only light spindle trails, etc. Under a bright grading lamp I can make out some very light paper scuffs and some very faint superficial surface marks - although these are purely visual and during playback, none of these very slight cosmetic flaws correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, there is some faint surface noise during the silent run-in (in the pressing) which disappears as soon as the music starts. It plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions.Clearly this LP has not suffered the overplaying that afflicts so many of the remaining copies of this great record.
Whilst obviously not an untouched museum piece, still a good honest copy for someone out there to play and enjoy as it was originally intended.

One other small flaw to point out - the label on side B does have the faint remnants of the previous owners name in pen - it's faint and is hard to see in my photo but it's there and is a little more obvious in real life... like the other couple of purely cosmetic flaws I've already mentioned, this will probably lower the selling price slightly but will not affect playback.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = V.G.++ (No big creases, rips, tears, etc. Not ruined by any means, but does suffer some general wear to the edges and corners, some smaller thumb creases from handling on the rear sleeve and the original owner's name is written inside the gatefold in small black pen writing - see photos for further clarification)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
