LED ZEPPELIN - HOUSES OF THE HOLY INCREDIBLE ROBERT LUDWIG MASTERED FIRST PRESS OF THIS ICONIC ALBUM THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LED ZEPPELIN PRESSINGS OF ALL TIME
Stamped "Sterling" and the initials "RL" in the run off!!
To find an RL mastered Led Zeppelin is always a special event, but on a UK release is almost impossibly rare, and then add in that this copy is in amazing condition for its age, it makes this an absolute necessity for any serious Zeppelin collector
Condition Report:
Sleeve: This is a first print, unlaminated MacNeill gatefold outer sleeve in superb condition, with no rips, stains, tears or pen marks. There is some very minor shelf wear on the corners and a tiny amount of ringwear (see pictures), but all edges are sharp and clean. The inside of the gatefold is in superb condition.
Inner Sleeve: The textured inner sleeve with lyrics on is in almost perfect condition. It really looks like it is a few days old, not 41 years!
Labels: The 1st press Atlantic Green and Orange labels are in near perfect condition. There are no rips, rubbing, writing or stains to mention. To be ultra critical, if you look under a very strong light, you can see one or two slight spindle lines.
Vinyl: It is hard to believe that this slab of vinyl is 41 years old, it really is in that perfect a condition. It can only have been played carefully a handful of times. Again, to be ultra critical, you can see one or two very, very faint hairline scratches under a strong halogen light, but in my opinion, they are probably from removing the vinyl from the sleeve.
This is a truly exceptional copy of this impossibly hard to find Robert Ludwig mastered first press album in near mint condition. Happy bidding!!
