VERY RARE TRUE 1st UK ISSUE - 1973
GATEFOLD SLEEVE - RARE TEXTURED INNER
STUNNING CONDITION - PLAYED ONCE - MUSEUM QUALITY
Original UK stereo LP, release date 1973 on the Atlantic label.
Catalogue number: K 50014
Matrix Nos: K50014 A2 and K50014 B3 with "STERLING RL" stamped into the run off.
Condition of cover / inner / record: EX+ / MINT- / MINT- (Grading as used by Record Collector)
The front cover is in great condition - the original satin sheen is clear and clean, and the spine is also strong and sharp with no wear at all. The other edges are also beautiful, near new looking, but there are two tiny spots of wear on the top edge. There is a tiny bit of rubbing at the corners which is hardly noticable. There is the feintest begining of ringwear on the back, but it's only 2 inches and very light. The open gatefold is also very clean. No rips, no tears, no creases, no writing, etc... The minor faults listed are very, very small indeed! This cover is truly the best I have seen and easily grades a A STRONG EX+
The inner sleeve is the very rare 1st issue textured inner, and completely intact. It has the song lyrics printed in black on thick white paper. Printed in England by MacNeill Press Ltd. It is in stunning condition with NO dirty mark or age spots at all... it looks new. EX+/M-
The vinyl itself is pristine! The labels on the vinyl look brand new and have NO spindle markings. They don't have the Warner logo - showing it to be a true 1st pressing. The record has a full glossy shine and looks like it just came from the factory! Under very close inspection in bright sunlight, I can just make out two or three very, very feint surface marks, consistent with it coming in and out of the inner sleeve. I played it very carefully and, as you would expect, the sound is fantastic... full, rich and heavy with punchy dynamics and a great tone. The audio is fault free - pristine mint! I never grade full mint, but this is as close as you can get and you will not find a better copy. MINT-
