Description

The matrix no’s / stampers etc are:

Side 1: 588171 A//1 1 2 (with second 8 crossed out and re etched)

Side 2: 588171 B//1 1 ? 1 ? (with second 8 crossed out and re etched)

Visually the vinyl looks VG-, it is clean and bright with some light surface marks and a few light scratches. I’ve played it all the way though at volume and it plays fine throughout with great audio. No sticking, no skips, no intrusive background crackle. There are some clicks in places..... there’s a very visible scratch on the last track (see photo below “Polydor Records Limited”) but this doesn’t significantly interfere with play, just some faint ticks, at least on my Rega while listening through headphones. I noted some other clicks in sections of a couple of tracks on each side, however in my opinion these don’t spoil the listening experience, especially when the music is in full flow. In summary not for the perfectionist but still a fantastic listen with brilliant audio.

The red / plum labels are free of handwriting and have the Superhype & Jewel credits. There are faint spindle traces but no wear to the spindle hole.

The laminated sleeve with grey stripe along the bottom is VG+, clean, no splits / rips or surface tears, no handwriting, minor edge wear, nice spine, no nicks or feathering to the opening. There is some creasing mainly around corners and some lifting of the laminate near the spine but the laminate is intact, it isn’t torn anywhere.

The disc has been machine cleaned on my Pro-ject machine (using Pro-ject’s own alcohol free cleaning fluid) and comes in a brand new anti static lined inner.

Gradings refer to the UK Record Collector Magazine standard (shown below). I would only use "mint" for genuinely unplayed records. Visual grading is done under a spotlight. Play testing is done on my Pro-ject or Rega turntable.

If buyer is not satisfied for any reason please contact me, I will refund on safe return of item.

Record will be packaged in a proper mailer with stiffening. I will pack with the record removed from the outer sleeve.

Mint (M) - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
