Rare original 1990 6x LP box set Disc ”LED Zeppelin” featuring remastered career wide versions of classic Led Zeppelin tracks by Jimmy Page.

European DMM issue.

Comes with original 32 page booklet and all inner sleeves.

The vinyl grades EX overall. A few fine non feelable scuffs on a couple of sides. Play graded and full description of playback given below.

The box has split on 2 corners and has been carefully repaired internally with tape. The original foam packer had deteriorated and has been removed. I have added a new lined foam packer. VG+

The inner sleeves mostly grade VG+ to EX- with a little light handling wear only, however one of the sleeves was against the foam as it deteriorated in storage and has left black residue on one side. See photos. Grades VG+ overall but one is only VG.

The booklet internally is EX. Outside it has a few black marks from the deterioration of the foam. Nothing too major. See photos. VG+ overall.

Led zeppelin box set listening notes/grading

No pops, sticks or jumps on any side.

Disc 1 - side 1:

light crackle between tracks and some quieter sections. Nothing that comes close to overpowering the music. VG+ play grade, visual grade VG+ with a few fine non feelable scuffs.

Disc 1 - side 2:

Similar to side 1 with light crackle between some of the tracks and some of the quiet sections. Mostly on the first couple of tracks. Nothing major at all. Play grade is VG+ to EX- overall. visual grade is VG+

Disc 2 - side 1:

visually grades EX with only a couple of very fine sleeve removal marks under strong light. Record plays great. Little crackle on run ins and spaces between tracks only, but no major background noise over the music. Play grade is EX

Disc 2 - side 2:

As with side 1, visually and sonically EX. Occasional very light background crackle only.

Disc 3 - Side 1:

EX visually with only a couple of tiny sleeve removal marks at most. Plays EX with the exception of 4 or 5 soft clicks near the start of gallows pole. On closer inspection there is a very small mark. Otherwise only a very tiny amount of background crackle between a few tracks only. EX- play grade.

Disc 3 - Side 2:

Visually EX to EX+ and plays with lovely clear audio throughout. Play grade is EX+

Disc 4 - Side 1:

Both sides visually EX to EX+ with a couple of very small scuffs under strong light only. It plays EX to EX+ with only a little light crackle on run ins.

Disc 4 - Side 2:

Starts with light crackle heard in quiet sections of No Quarter, rest of the side plays really well with no other issues. VG+

Disc 5 - side 1:

Disc is visually VG+ with some fine non feelable paper scuffs and light marks. This side however plays around the VG grade with background crackle in the quieter sections in parts. This disc’s sleeve is the one that bore the brunt of the foam deterioration and there was some foam which had sort of melted to the surface of the record. It has been cleaned with a microfibre cloth but whilst not really visible with the eye, may need a bit of a deeper clean. It doesn’t overpower the music and fades a little after the first 2 tracks. I’ve noticed that my stylus appears to pulling quite a bit of dust out of the grooves so may well improve with a clean and the crackle was reduced a little with repeated plays.

Disc 5 - Side 2: visually VG+. Plays VG+ to EX-. A little occasional light crackle but nothing major or too distracting.

Disc 6 - Side 1: visually EX with a few very fine non feelable sleeve removal marks under strong light. It plays EX. Small amount of crackle on the run ins but then plays with nice clear audio.

Disc 6 - Side 2:

Again EX visually and sonically. Tiny amount of crackle on run ins. Otherwise plays great throughout with clear audio.
