Description
Up for auction with a 99p start is this iconic Led Zeppelin IV album on the PLUM Atlantic label. This is a highly sought after disc. What lets this copy down is the cover and inner sleeve. They are rather shabby compared with the covers of the other LP's I am selling. The cover edges are very badly worn and the disc section of the gatefold cover has come apart and needs repairing. Perhaps someone out there has the required skills to improve its jaded looks! The inner sleeve is in two separate halves and has pieces missing. It also needs repairing. Please see the photos. I have tried to be as honest as I can with this description. I can send further photos by email if required.
The vinyl looks fine apart from one or two marks which may or may not affect playback quality. Unfortunately, my record deck is currently not working. I have ordered a new belt and once I get it back up and running, I will play the disc and update this description. A//3 and B//4 matrices on runout as well as the legendary PORKY PECKO DUCK inscription (PECKO DUCK on side 1 and PORKY on side 2).
UPDATE: My record deck is now back in working order and I have played both sides of this album right through. It sounds excellent, particularly "Stairway To Heaven"! It played perfectly right through with no jumping, sticking or skipping. There is the occasional "pop" but very minor and sporadic really. There is also a bit of minor, low level surface noise or static but this is only noticeable in quiet sections, between tracks and on the run-in/run-out.
