LED ZEPPELIN 2 1969 ROCK Vinyl PLUM/ORANGE LEMON SONG & THANKYOU MISPRINT
GRAB A BARGAIN! Here's a great opportunity to own a RARE original Led Zeppelin album for a fraction of the price of the others on the market!
Following on from where their seminal debut left off, Led Zeppelin's second studio album continued to prove what all the hype was about. Capturing the spirit of 1969, this groundbreaking album provided the band with global hits like 'Whole Lotta Love' and 'Heartbreaker'. Packed full of powerful blues riffs, hard hitting drums and the occasional moment of tender soulfulness, witness one of the UK's finest super-groups at the peak of their powers.
This is a very early UK pressing with A2/B5 matrix and the much sought after 'The Lemon Song' and 'Thankyou' misprints.
VINYL: The vinyl itself has a number of surface marks - most of which are superficial and non-feelable but a small handful are more noticeable. These do not generally affect the playback but there is one small scratch on Track 3 Side One that creates a very brief jump. Overall, the record plays well but there is age related crackle that can be heard in the quieter parts throughout. The songs still come through clear and crisp and sound great in their original stereo fullness. I am happy to grade this record as VG, despite the brief skip, because the rest of the record plays well.
LABEL: There is a small amount of writing on both of the labels (see pictures). Despite this, the iconic plum & orange labels still look great.
ORIGINAL INNER: The main side looks great but there is a small amount of writing at the top of the other (see picture).
SLEEVE: The original gatefold sleeve is in generally decent condition but it is starting to look a bit tired and worn. There is mild discolouration and fading in places, as well as the onset of slight ring and edge wear. There is some very faint/faded writing on the lights around the blimp image inside the gatefold. The rest of the images and writing look clear and bright. All of the writing on the spine is clear.
This record has been play tested, honestly described and carefully graded. This is a fairly decent copy and a very enjoyable listen but please do not buy it if you are expecting mint condition.
