Pressed at the Monarch Pressing Plant in Los Angeles as indicated by the "MO" on the labels and the "MR" label etched in the dead wax.

Fabulous HOT MIX pressing by George Piros. He mastered this title after the first run in 1969, and continued until about 1980, but not every version from that time period bears his name. Other masterings do not have the rich, full bass and wide clear soundstage that Piros delivers!!

Led Zeppelin had a unique and well-defined sound from the beginning, as evidenced by their self-titled debut album. They took the heavy, distorted electric blues style of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Cream to new heights, creating a powerful, majestic type of guitar rock based on simple and memorable riffs and sturdy rhythms. The secret to their success was the use of subtleties - it wasn't just a barrage of guitar noise, but a layered, textured sound filled with contrasting dynamics and tempos. As their first album shows, the group was already capable of creating multi-dimensional music. Despite the extended psychedelic blues tracks such as "Dazed and Confused," "You Shook Me," and "I Can't Quit You Baby" being popular, the rest of the album offers a better glimpse of what was to come. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" blends folk-style verses with heavy choruses, "Good Times Bad Times" and "How Many More Times" have groovy blues shuffles, "Your Time Is Gonna Come" is anthemic hard rock, "Black Mountain Side" is pure English folk, and "Communication Breakdown" is a frenzied rocker with a nearly punkish energy. While the album may not be as diverse as their later works, it marked a major turning point in the evolution of hard rock and heavy metal.

THE VINYL IS EX. THERE ARE JUST A FEW VERY LIGHT MARKS. STILL LOOKS GLOSSY AND NEW.

Although the record is pressed on later 70s thinner vinyl, the sound is still is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS ALSO EX AND HAS VERY LITTLE WEAR. THERE IS A BIT OF LIGHT WEAR TO THE TOP RIGHT EDGE. THE COVER ALSO HAS VERY LITTLE YELLOWING.
