'LED ZEPPELIN'
EXCELLENT+ TO EXCELLENT- CONDITION
1969 UK 12" album ATLANTIC (588171) 33.3 rpm STEREO
Matrices: 588171 A//1 and 588171 B//1
Made in Great Britain by Polydor Records Ltd
PERSONNEL: JIMMY PAGE guitars ROBERT PLANT vocals and harmonica JOHN PAUL JONES bass guitar and organ JOHN BONHAM drums (tabla by VIRAM JASANI)
TRACK LISTING: SIDE ONE 1. Good Times Bad Times 2. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You 3. You Shook Me 4. Dazed And Confused SIDE TWO 1. Your Time Is Gonna Come 2. Black Mountain Side 3. Communication Breakdown 4. I Can't Quit You Baby 5. How Many More Times
CONDITION: VINYL EXCELLENT- The vinyl is clean and bright with a high gloss sheen. There are some light surface marks and minor sleeve scuffs on both sides, with the only real blemish being a very small mark during 'Your Time Is Gonna Come' which causes some clicks. Overall however the sound reproduction is excellent throughout, with only occasional light surface noise.
LABELS EXCELLENT+ The two red white and plum paper labels are complete and clean with some typical light spindle marks. The black printing is clear against the bright, original colours.
INNER SLEEVE EXCELLENT+ The non-company polylined white paper inner sleeve is lightly creased but is clean with no folds, seam splits, tears, stains or writing.
SLEEVE EXCELLENT The laminated full colour sleeve was printed and made by MacNeill Press Ltd and retains its bright original colours. It is clean with some typical creases but no folds, tears, seam splits, stains or writing. The front cover has the original grey border running along the lower edge. The top and bottom edges are unworn while the opening edges are crisp. The corners show only slight rubbing. The spine is intact, retaining its pinched ends, with clear and legible printing. The laminate has lifted in some places along the spine edge of the front cover but has remained unbroken; it is intact and unraised elsewhere on both the front and back covers with just a few light half moon creases and an indentation mark in the top righthand corner of the front cover.
PHOTOGRAPH EXCELLENT See pictures below. This is NOT a copy. It is an ORIGINAL black and white print, date stamped'1 Apr 1970', and measuring 10' x 8' (258mm x 202mm), originally from the Universal Pictorial and Odhams Newspapers press libraries (I am not sure if copyright still exists on this - if it does, and you are the legal copyright holder, apologies. Please contact me and I will remove this item from sale). A press synopsis has been glued to the back of the photograph, and brilliantly manages to spell the band's name incorrectly three times. It reads...
"FOUR IN HARMONY The name is LED ZEPPERLIN and they are four young men who have made a great name for themselves in the pop world both here and in the United States. Their albums sold so well that they received commemorative platinum and gold discs for the success. The LED ZEPPERLIN comprise of: left to right:- ROBERT PLANT : JOHN PAUL JONES : JOHN BONHAM : JIMMY PAGE. Photo shows: LED ZEPPERLIN. Universal Pictorial Press Photo Ref No P 189631"
The print is slightly curled with a small fold mark in the border (NOT in the photograph itself) of the bottom righthand corner. There is some light staining but otherwise the condition is EXCELLENT for its age of almost 38 years.

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BIDDING FOR THIS ITEM PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING...
AUCTIONS ENDING SUNDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2008 If you wish to contact me regarding this record, please do so before the final day of the auction as I shall be away from my laptop from 6pm Saturday 9 until 10am Thursday 14 February, and will be unable to reply to any emails during this time. If you are the successful bidder, and you have paid for this item by my return, I shall post this record to you on 14 February. Apologies for this delay.
ABOUT ME: If you haven't done business with me before my name is Andy Hibberd and I own a "bricks and mortar" secondhand record shop called 101 COLLECTORS RECORDS in Farnham, Surrey, about one hour out of central London. I deal in old and collectable vinyl, CDs, DVDs and memorabilia in all musical genres, as well as new releases and re-issues. Please feel free to get in touch if you need any further information about this item, if you have any questions about what's currently in stock, or if you have a collection for sale and need some advice.
All photographs are of the actual item offered for sale: I never use 'stock' pictures or re-use old photos of previously sold stock.
All items are listed for 10 days, running from Thursdays to Sundays. If you wish to leave a message, or ask a question, please try to do so before the final Sunday as I may not be in front of my laptop on my day off. Also, I always let my auctions run their full course, so please do not contact me asking if the item can be sold early. Live a little, enjoy the thrill of bidding.
If you win an item, PLEASE WAIT FOR ME TO INVOICE YOU BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR PAYMENT, especially if you have bought more than one item - you will be entitled to a postage discount for multiple items.
Payment may only be made in UK £ Sterling: I accept PayPal, UK personal cheques (with bank guarantee card details) and most international credit and debit cards. I cannot accept cash payments unless they are offered in person upon collection or delivery.
I am always happy to receive any wants-lists, but file them carefully on little bits of paper under slightly larger bits of paper that aren't always quite where they should be because the elves have clearly moving things around whilst I wasn't looking. I will guarantee to find what you want within minutes of you a) finding it elsewhere, b) deciding you can live without that Tibetan Skater Punk LP after all, or c) losing the will to live.
Despite that, all my vinyl is strictly graded using the Record Collector RRPG system, and all goods are properly protected and posted in strong, new Covers 33 packaging. Please recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just offset the damage done when the item was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of tyres.
Finally, thank you very much for your interest in this item, I really appreciate it. If you are thinking of bidding, please read all descriptions fully and take the time to read my Postage details and my Returns Policy below. Also, please take a look at my Feedback comments and my past sales. I am not an anonymous internet seller, but a responsible and contactable UK record dealer. You can bid with confidence.
POSTAGE DETAILS: Certificates of Posting are obtained for all packets despatched, without exception, but I CAN ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANY ITEMS THAT MAY BE LOST OR DAMAGED IN THE POST although I will happily provide you with any necessary paperwork in the event of you making a claim against Royal Mail. I always strongly recommend that you select the insured option for postage irrespective of the content's value. If you do not select the insured option, and your parcel goes missing in the post, then you will not be entitled to any compensation, it's that simple.
METHODS OF POSTING: 1. Packets with a total contents value of under £34 (UK customers) Royal Mail First Class service. 2. Packets valued at £34 or above (UK customers) Special Delivery Next Day service (inc insurance). 3. Packets with a total value of under £34 (Overseas customers) Standard Airmail (Small Packets) service. 4. Packets valued at £34 or over (Overseas Customers) Royal Mail International Signed For service (inc insurance). 5. For packets containing very expensive items (i.e. £500+) customers should contact me if they wish to use a courier service, as this is by far the safest and most guaranteeable method of delivery. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Please see below to find the exact postage charge for this item.
Please do not ask me to send expensive items by the cheapest service available, as it is both a false economy and a nightmare to resolve to everyone's satisfaction if the postal system lets us down. If you are not prepared to pay these postage charges then PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM.
GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BIDDING!
