Description
This is the most collectible Zep LP:
LED ZEPPELIN 1 - FIRST UK PRESSING (1969) Atlantic 588171 Stereo which has the turquoise ‘Led Zeppelin’ lettering and Atlantic label ‘swirl’ on the album cover - and the rare publishing credit for “Superhype Music” on the red and plum Atlantic label on the album itself.
Examples of this very rare pressing are fetching several hundred £££ - some have a £1,000+ ‘Buy Now’ price (!) and here’s an opportunity to bid on an excellent copy.
It is my original copy, purchased immediately up on the album’s release in 1969. It is still in excellent condition, plays superbly with no scratches and minimal wear.
The cover has no splits or significant damage, very little creasing and no lamination ‘lift’. The inner sleeve is original poly-lined square white. It’s a cherished artefact but as I nowadays enjoy music on CD or mp3 too, am selling some of my many vinyl albums.
Having been a record-buying consumer and rock music addict since the early 60s I purchased many rock / prog albums eagerly right after release, as with this Zep LP.
A keen collector should now enjoy the well-kept vinyl that I have always looked after carefully, stored properly and played only on top-quality hi-fi equipment.
