Led Zeppelin Aussie 1st green Atlantic label Stereo LP ONLY- NO COVER
Artist: Led Zeppelin
Label/No: Australian green Atlantic SAL-933,232
Year: 1969
Vinyl Condition: VG with all gloss and shine still there, a few light topical individual marks but nothing cuts the vinyl. Looks very nice considering how they usually look.
Labels: Fine both sides
Cover: NO COVER, RECORD ONLY
Other: This is a different variant label from the other Led Zeppelin 1 LP noted in this same auction. This is either variant 1 or 2, depending on how you date them. This appears to be variant 1 as the cover was trashed and could not be saved but the LP is in fine shape and offered here without a cover. See the scans on both listings to see the differences in the label construction, easier than describing them here.
Label Variant:
This label variant is very different to the first label variant found on LP's with the flip-back type covers.
The differences in this label variant are:
All print appears to be bold over non-bold. Stereo & band name is larger font. Side 1 & 2 text is different.
Colours are more crisp and bright.
The line spacing is different.
"Recorded in the USA" is above the spindle hole below the band name.
All tracks listed on side 1 are on single lines except track 2.
Side 2: track 2 & 4 are on single lines. Track 1 line is split differently. SEE SCANS and compare to the other Led Zeppelin 1 LP in this same auction without a cover. PLEASE let me know if you can add any info or corrections to this label variant and the other one listed on this auction. Help is always good.
