Description
This is an original U.S. stereo pressing copy of the second and final LP by LA-based group the Leaves, released in 1967. The group is remembered today for their top 40 hit version of "Hey Joe," a classic of the era that earned a spot on the epochal 1972 comp Nuggets. The hit appeared on the group's 1966 debut LP. Their sophomore effort lacks any such highlight -- only one single was released from it -- but does show the group changing with the times in tracks like "Lemmon Princess" (the single), "Twilight Sanctuary" (the LP's fine opening track), and "Flashback (The rhythm thing)." The group also covers songs by Manfred Mann, Donovan, and Buffy St. Marie (an extended, moody version of "Codine"). The jacket is in fine condition with some light staining and wear along the edge, light discoloration along the top seam, and light ring and corner wear -- EX(+). Visually, the disc is clean with a few scrapes and scuffs, but it plays with steady, mostly light surface noise (VG+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
