On offer here is a VERY rare 10" LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Lead Belly called "Leadbelly Vol.1 " and is an ORIGINAL 1956 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Melodisc label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF LEAD BELLY'S RAREST UK LPs EVER AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1956 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND IS INCREDIBLY TOUGH TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS 'LYRIC' INSERT (WHICH HAS FULL LYRICS, DETAILS ABOUT EACH SONG, AND SOME BACKGROUND ON 'LEAD BELLY' WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED ON THE COVER!)!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  15 YEARS AFTER THIS 10" LP WAS RELEASED IN THE UK (IN THE 1970s) 'LYRIC' INSERTS WERE COMMONPLACE IN ALMOST EVERY LP.  HOWEVER IN 1956 - THEY WERE ALMOST UNHEARD OF!!!!  AND WORSE STILL - THIS 'LYRIC' INSERT WAS PRINTED ON 'NEWSPAPER' THIN PAPER, WHICH WAS SO EASILY DAMAGED - EVEN FROM SLIDING THE RECORD IN & OUT OF THE COVER!!!!  AND SO MOST PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT THIS 10" LP (AND IT WASNT MANY!) - QUICKLY THREW THE INSERT AWAY, OR SIMPLY THOUGHT IT WAS A 'BIT OF PAPER' AND  DISCARDED IT ON THE DAY THEY BOUGHT IT!!!!  AND THIS MEANS TODAY - THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST UK LPs EVER MADE - AND CERTAINLY LEAD BELLY'S RAREST UK LP EVER!!!!  IN FACT, THIS 'LYRIC' INSERT IS SO VERY RARE - THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT LISTED BEFORE, AND NEVER EVER SEEN IT IN ANY GUIDE BOOK (IT IS COMPLETELY UNDOCUMENTED!)!!!!  YET HERE IT IS - TUCKED AWAY INSIDE THE COVER FOR 57 YEARS - AND I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO UNFOLD IT, FOR THIS VERY LISTING!!!!  SO THINK TWICE BEFORE PASSING ON THIS AMAZING 10" LP - FOR NOT ONLY IS IN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT CONDITION, BUT IT IS 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 'UNDOCUMENTED' LYRIC INSERT!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS 10" LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1956 UK 10" MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS MELODISC LABEL, 1ST PRESS A/B MONO MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, ULTRA RARE 1ST PRESS 'LYRIC' INSERT, AND 1ST PRESS FLIPBACK FULLY LAMINATED COVER!!!!  THIS 10" LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Melodic UK 1st Pressing from 1956 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is MLP 511 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Melodisc label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 50s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  THE ULTRA RARE 'LYRIC' INSERT IS IN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME CONDITION - AND HAS CLEARLY NEVER LEFT THE COVER!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'P.C. Printing' Flipback FULLY Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The cover has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, NO splits, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), shiny laminate, NO rips, NO tears, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the laminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, STUNNING flipbacks, barely ANY yellowing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better - with absolutely NO DAMAGE AT ALL (almost IMPOSSIBLE for a 57 year old cover!)!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (ESPECIALLY 100% COMPLETE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
