ORIGINAL US 1984 WARNER BROTHERS (1-25077) Quiex II Limited Edition Pressing (never commercially released but "Lent for Promotional Use Only" - as stated on the sticker on the sleeve) OF LAURIE ANDERSON'S SENSATIONAL "Mister Heartbreak" LP - HER FINEST PIECE OF WORK AND IN BEAUTIFUL, POSSIBLY COMPLETELY UNPLAYED CONDITION, DELIVERING ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AUDIO (the Quiex pressing delivers just that, silent playing surfaces - as silent as a CD but with the immediacy only found on vinyl) - SUPERB COPY OF A FANTASTIC LP AND VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INDEED

THE REORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL RELEASE SLEEVE WITH BOTH "QUIEX II - LIMITED EDITION PRESSING" and " LENT FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY..." STICKERS
AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL LYRIC INNER SLEEVE PRINTED ON THIN DELICATE PAPER

Probably the most pop-accessible of Laurie Anderson's recorded work, Mister Heartbreak features a number of stunning luminaries on the cutting edge of popular music at the time.
Striking guitar work by King Crimson guitarist Adrian Belew permeates this disc -- notably on "Sharkey's Day" -- punchy and angular.
The production and bass work from Bill Laswell is superb.
Peter Gabriel is featured in a duet with Anderson on "Excellent Birds."
Lyrics are typical of Anderson' work -- complex, literate, provocative, difficult to fully comprehend.
Haunting "Gravity's Angel" borrows imagery from Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow.
Spoken word delivery on "Sharkey's Night" is given by the legendary William S. Burroughs.

LABELS: The labels are clean and unmarked with no spindles or signs of use - in my opinion this copy is unplayed - MINT
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces display marks/blemishes common on North American presses and a superficial light hairline across Side One - none of these marks have no audio consequence - the playback is outstanding - visually EXCELLENT
VINYL Audio: Stunning sound - deep, rich, warm and detailed with totally silent playing surfaces - no scratches, no clicks/pops and not a hint of any surface noise. Bill Laswell's stark bass-lines are particularly impressive but the whole record sounds really sensational. Critically graded MINT for audio this is a pristine playing copy of a wonderful piece of work and very highly recommended
SLEEVE: The thick card 'stickered' sleeve is crisp and fresh with little wear to speak of - just a touch of ring on the back - all edges are crisp, sharp and unworn and all text on the spine is clear and bold - EXCELLENT+
INNER SLEEVE: The lyric inner is clean and unmarked with just some light handling creases, very minor, there are no splits - EXCELLENT
