Top notch late 1950s slice of tough Jamican R&B shuffle - Laurel Aitken and the Boogie Cats "Boogie Rock" (c/w "Heavenly Angel"). Awesome early Jamaican R&B tune, onle of 'Lorenzo's best and toughest tunes from the pioneering days of the Ja. music scene.
Unfortunately it's not the best looking copy you will ever see. Visually it grades no more than a VG-. Vinyl is worn and marked, and to be honest I probably wouldn't be selling it if it wasn't such a hard record to find on the original Jamaican label.
But there is good news, too. I've had the record cleaned on a VPI machine (both sides!) and it sounds loud and strong and definitely at least a couple of audio grades higher than the visual grade I've given it!
Labels are clean on both sides, with no writing (or 'additional label attachments' such as Green Shield stamps!). The labels are reversed, as they are on the copy in my collection and every other Jamaican copy I've seen of this super rare 45.
Even in this condition it's a lovely item, so bid accordingly!
Seldom comes up for sale in any condition!
