Edison Diamond Disc 52079, recorded 7-21-1927. Record has a small label on side L that says: "TAPED 4-28-1968". It was most likely transcribed to tape, then put back into the archive. CLAIR DE LUNE is a breathtakingly beautiful performance. The tango on side R is right out of a 1920's sound movie. This disc in itself, artistically, is worth five to ten times the opening bid. Please do not hesitate in your consideration of adding this disc to your collection. You will be glad you did. Shows no signs of being played with vintage equipment. Record could pass as an N-, but because of light label marks, I enthusiastically grade this disc "E+" using the VJM Record Grading system. I audition all records on a modern turntable with a lightweight sapphire stylus. RECORDS WILL BE PACKED PROPERLY between several sheets of cardboard, surrounded by packing peanuts, in a sturdy box.
