Swedish pop star Zara Larsson frames her fifth album around the concept of the endless northern summer, using the midnight sun as a metaphor for identity, ambition and resilience. Written with longtime collaborator MNEK alongside Margo XS, Zhone and Helena Gao, the record balances polished hooks with more vulnerable songwriting. The title track captures that duality - breezy yet reflective, shimmering with synth gloss while circling themes of clarity and longing. 'Pretty Ugly' leans into electro-pop drama, playful and biting, while 'Crush' strips down into something more direct and confessional. At just over half an hour, the set feels lean and purposeful, distilling years of reflection into ten sleek tracks. It's Larsson's most personal work yet, placing her Swedish roots and pop instincts firmly at the centre of the spotlight.
