Condizioni : copertina laminata su entrambi i lati con un modesto ring wear e un pò d'usura lungo i bordi; grande stato, EX+ / vinile con pochi lievi segni a cui si aggiungono diverse visibili tracce lasciate dalla plastica della copertina interna che non condizionano l'ascolto se non con del modesto fruscio nei solchi che separano un brano dall'altro. Ho tentato di mostrarvi questo difetto visivo con una foto, immagine 4, ma non è stata impresa facile e ho dovuto diminuire i livelli di grigio e bianco per una sua migliore osservazione. Condition : laminated cover on both sides shows some light ring and edge wear, EX+ / vinyl has a few minor scuffs in addition to several clearly visible traces left by the plastic inner sleeve not affecting the listening except some moderate rustle on the grooves that separate a track from another. I tried to show this visual flaw with a photo, see image No. 4, but it was not easy, and I had to decrease the levels of gray and white for a better observation. GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : sicuramente uno dei migliori album di Jazz Svedese realizzato negli anni sessanta. La sua concezione è basata su un jazz con spontanee improvvisazioni e disarmonie atonali che parzialmente ricordano lo stile dei Sun Ra, ma non mancano pure brevi fusioni con il rock progressivo e la psichedelia come nella prima traccia dell’album (a1) con un insistente assolo di sitar a cui segue la musica jazz della tromba e del sax tenore con il supporto della sezione ritmica. "Birthcry" (b1) occupa l’intera seconda facciata del disco con i suoi 17 minuti. Qui i musicisti riescono meglio ad esprimere le loro inclinazioni verso il free jazz con grandi assoli di sax, pianoforte e basso, insoliti vocalizzi maschili, buon intervento del flauto e notevole supporto da parte del batterista. La cantante ed attrice Monica Nielsen interpreta con bella dolcezza timbrica  "Human and Chameleon" (a3), versione in Svedese di "Colombine" scritta e originalmente cantata da Georges Brassens. Un album da non perdere!  

Notes : definitely one of the best Swedish jazz album produced in the sixties. Its conception is based on jazz with free improvisations and atonal disharmonies that partially recalling the Sun Ra style but there are also short fusions with progressive rock and psychedelia as in the first track on the album (a1) with an insistent sitar solo later followed by jazz music of the trumpet and tenor sax with support from the rhythm section. "Birthcry"(b1) takes up the entire second side of the LP with its 17 minutes. Here the musicians are better able to express their free jazz propensities with great sax, piano and bass solos, unusual male vocalizations, nice flute and considerable support from the drummer. The singer and actress Monica Nielsen performs with beautiful tone-colour sweetness "Human and Chameleon" (a3), Swedish version of "Colombine", composed and originally sung by Georges Brassens. An album not to be missed!
