Details:

Lot of 9 lower grade condition 1980's classic rock record albums. All records cleaned, visually inspected, and some playgraded. Records are in VG- condition (Low Grade) based on grading criteria listed below. Make no mistake, these are well used records and play with issues noted. Issues include some records that have significant surface markings but are still playable; others have one side that plays well and the other side is unplayable; one is warped that affects playback. Please read full description below for my assessment. It's a real mixed bag of records. Lot includes all records as pictured.

1. Bon Jovi – New Jersey (Rare Original 1988 Mercury Release). Visually inspected. Side 1: Visually, moderate surface markings, average looking album side. I grade Side 1 as a VG condition album side. Side 2: Visually, notable surface markings, below average condition album side. I grade Side 2 as a VG- condition album side. Cover: Average condition (VG) with basic wear and tear. Inner sleeve: Not significant.

2. Boston – Don’t Look Back (Epic Orange Label Release). Visually inspected. Significant surface markings noted both sides, below average condition record. Make no mistake, this is well used vinyl and will play with issues. I grade as a Good to VG- (well below average) condition record. Gatefold Cover: Average condition (VG) with basic wear and tear. Inner gatefold looks good as shown, no issues. Inner sleeve: Original as shown, average condition.

3. Dire Straits – Brothers in Arms (Warner Brothers Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Side 1: Visually, some moderate surface markings, average looking album side. Played and noted moderate to light surface noise, no skips. Average looking/sounding album side. I grade Side 1 as a VG condition album side. Side 2: Visually, moderate surface markings, average looking album side. Played and noted one skip on S2/T3 and one skip on S2/T4. Other tracks play VG, no other skips noted on S2. Due to two skips noted, I grade Side 2 as a VG- condition album side. Cover: Below average condition (G) with more than average wear noted. Inner sleeve: Original as shown, below average condition (seam splitting).

4. Billy Idol – Oct. 23, 1986 Interview (Chrysalis Release, Promo). Visually inspected. Side 1: Visually, some moderate surface markings, average looking album side. I grade Side 1 as a VG condition album side. Side 2: Some light surface markings, slightly above average looking album side. I grade Side 2 as a VG (Near VG+) condition album side. Cover: Missing and not included in this listing. Inner sleeve: Chrysalis poly type sleeve as shown, not significant.

5. Eddie Money – Playing for Keeps (Columbia Release). Visually inspected. Side 1: Visually, some moderate surface markings, average looking album side. I grade Side 1 as a VG condition album side. Side 2: Visually, notable surface markings, below average condition album side. I grade Side 2 as a VG- condition album side. Cover: Average condition (VG) with average wear and tear noted. Inner sleeve: Not significant.

6. Foreigner – Double Vision (Atlantic Release). Visually inspected. Surface markings noted on both sides. Slightly below average condition record album. I grade this as a VG- (Near VG) condition record. Cover: Average condition (VG) with average wear and tear noted. Inner sleeve: Not significant.

7. The Pretenders – Learning to Crawl (Sire Release). Visually inspected. Notable surface markings on both sides. Below average condition record album. I grade this as a VG- condition record. Cover: Average condition (VG) with average wear and tear noted.  Inner sleeve: Original as shown, above average condition.

8. REO Speedwagon – Nine Lives (Epic Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Side 1: Visually, scuffs noted on Track 1, moderate surface markings on remaining S1 tracks. Played and noted moderate surface noise, no skips. Average sounding album side. I grade Side 1 as a VG condition album side. Side 2: Visually, moderate surface markings, average looking album side. Played and noted moderate surface noise, no skips. Average sounding album side. I grade Side 2 as a VG condition album side. Gatefold Cover: Above average condition (VG+) with minor wear. Inner gatefold looks good as shown, no issues. Inner sleeve: Original as shown, above average condition.

9. Styx – Kilroy Was Here (A&M Release). Visually inspected and playgraded. Has a warp and visually very light surface markings both sides. Played both sides. Side 1: Track 1 is affected by warp; remaining Side 1 tracks play VG to VG+ with no issues. Side 2: Track 1 is affected by warp; remaining Side 2 tracks also play VG to VG+ with no issues. Due to warp, I grade this as a VG- condition record. Gatefold Cover: Average condition (VG) with average wear and tear noted. Inner gatefold condition/colour look good as shown, no issues. Inner sleeve: Original as shown, average condition.

Records listed have been cleaned using a Nitty Gritty 1.5 cleaning system.

I do my best to be fair and honest with my record grading assessments.  I will provide as much detail as possible to give potential buyers everything they need to know about the product(s) you are bidding on. I inspect and grade all vinyl by either listening to or visually inspecting under bright lighting. If play graded, it will be noted. Major anomalies will be noted. Bid with confidence as returns are accepted.

Vinyl Grading Classification:

(SS) Still Sealed = Sealed in original shrink wrap. Anomalies (Saw cuts, cut-out holes, creases, etc.) will be noted.

(NM) Near Mint = A superb LP record that is nearly perfect. No visible defects, appears to be new, except without the sealed shrink wrap. A good description of a NM record is ?It looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time.? 

(EX) Excellent = An LP record that is very close to (NM) with minor defects allowed.

(VG+) Very Good Plus = An LP record that has been played, but well cared for.  It may show light wear, such as light scratches or scuffs.

(VG) Very Good = An LP record that exhibits signs of use. Limited scuffs and scratches causing moderate surface noise that will be evident upon playing.  Defects should not overpower the music.

(VG-) Very Good Minus = An LP record considered acceptable. The record will play through but with significant surface noise and possible skips.  Well used vinyl.

(G) Good = An LP record marginally acceptable. LP exhibits visible scratches, significant skips/jumps and bad surface noise.

Note: I do not sell records below a 'Good' rating unless collectible.

Cover Grading Classification:

(NM) Near Mint = LP cover has no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable defects. No cut-out holes, either. The same is true for any inserts, posters, lyric sleeves and the like.

(EX) Excellent = LP cover very close to NM, minor defects allowed.

(VG+) Very Good Plus = LP cover may have slight signs of wear and may also be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.  Inner sleeve and will have some moderate wear, and may have lightly turned up corners.

(VG) Very Good = LP cover may have light to moderate ring wear, some tape, stickers, glue, writing, a small seam split, but not all of these defects. Too many of these types of defects will degrade the cover to a Good (G) classification.

(G) Good = LP cover shows signs of significant wear that includes seam splits (especially at the bottom or on the spine) and worn corners. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.

(F) Fair = LP cover that barely holds and protects the record. LP cover may include (but not all) the following defects: marred by wear, writing, water damage, seam splits on all three sides, inner sleeve seams splits, crinkled and written upon. If it is a common LP cover/sleeve, you'll need to find another copy in better shape to replace it.

Shipping:

USA Domestic: I do not gouge customers on shipping and handling fees. Domestic shipments will be shipped via USPS Economy Media Mail so I can pass savings along to customers. USPS Media Mail shipments can take up to 10 business days to arrive depending on location. All shipments include a USPS tracking number with delivery conformation. Handling time is 1 to 2 business days.

Packaging:

LP will be boxed carefully in a corrugated box made specifically for LPs to protect the cover.  LP package will include a clear plastic outer sleeve. LP will be removed from cover for shipping to prevent seam splitting (unless sealed).

 Winning Multiple Listings:

If buyer wins multiple listings I will combine shipping costs. If you win multiple listings please wait for the Invoice before making payment so I can accurately adjust shipping costs.
