Labi Siffre - Remember my song EMI EMC 3065 1975. Dutch pressingThis album has gained a kind of grail status; despite Labi Siffre being a big name after his 80s pop success, 'Remember my song' doesn't pop up in the wild. A UK release, apparently it was also available in Holland at the time. That's a shame because there are two killer tracks on here. 'I got the (blues)' with its warm bass/keys combo reminiscent of library records got famous through the Dusty Fingers compilations and from being sampled by Dr Dre for Eminem's 'Slim Shady'. The Vulture is a track that starts with a larger than life break. Check out the snippets... and snatch this clean copy up now!
