NOW THE AUCTION:
Artists: L. AITKEN Title: SKINHEADS ARE WRECKING THE TOWN Format: VINYL `7 INCH.Comments:
You're bidding on the rarest skinhead reggae 7". EVER
ONLY 2ND TIME ON E-BAY
Note this the Regent Sound studio original acetate
from 1970 and NOT A BOOTLEG
Additional informations:
You're bidding on the 1970 original
acetate disc ( disc cut prior to the cutting
of
the master disc which is used for mass
production of records) of Skinheads are
wrecking the town. This track was
planned to be released as single for
Ackee records (catalogue number 105)
but this single have never been officially
released. Some sources say white label
demo of the single exist but i never see
one.
Produced by Laurel Aitken.
Housed in plain white sleeve.
Previous owner was wrong when writing "SKINHEAD
INVASION LAUREL AITKEN" on "Skinheads are
wrecking the town" side label. (picture2)
This acetate was cut for the producer,
engineer and artist to listen to and to see
how well the recording transfers to disc.
Only a two or three copies have been
pressed. We can deduce that Skinheads
are wrecking the town have been
recorded in Regent Sound studio in
Denmark street, London. This rare
acetate must come from the vault of this
legendary studio.
It's the only chance to get this cult
recording on original record.
As often for acetate disc each sides
feature different artists. A-side is a soft
female vocal track called Something
different and B-side is Skinheads are
wrecking the town.
A-side label is the official REGENT
SOUND LTD label with Regent Sound
studio informations and the title
Something different type-written
(picture1). On the bottom of the A-side
label you can read "Skinhead Take One"
hand-written (picture3). B-side label was
originally plain white but a previous
owner wrote "Skinhead Invasion Laurel
Aitken" (picture2). Don't worry this
inscription is wrong and the track played
on this B-side is definitely Skinheads are
wrecking the town.
Serious bids only. This is a top rarity.
The chance of a lifetime!!!!!
