Description

An original 1st press of Autobahn on the UK Vertigo label from 1974. Matrix 1/1. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue Robor printed embossed cover. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A stunning copy that has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one tiny deviation. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. You need a really clean copy for this ambient style of music...and this copy does not disappoint. Beautifully clean and precise audio that renders all those super low-key tinkering flute playing parts perfectly! Interference is pretty much non-existent. I couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side - it really is a very solid rendition. The only vague deviation was a click in the first track Autobahn. Overall a top-level performer that, I feel, you would be hard pressed to even equal.
Cover (Ex) Often found looking a bit shabby by this stage in the day. This example, however, looks in tip top condition and survived the years in fine form. Very nice clean and unworn cover which doesn't appear to have been affected by the usual ageing process. Ditto the rear - one slight crease top-right. Edge wear is mostly light - just a touch on the upper edge. The openings are still relatively sharp and the spine seems mostly intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits.
