(Columbia SAX 2451-3 UK 3 LP Box Set 1962)
This is an original UK Stereo 3 LP Box Set pressing in great overall condition! It has a black "leatherette" style hard outer box which is hinged also. It has a front laminated front panel. The spine has embossed gold lettering. It comes with its original polythene-lined "EMI" company inner sleeves. It comes complete with its original 8 page booklet. This is printed on pale blue paper.
The records are pressed on thick vinyl & have turquoise blue & silver "Columbia" labels. It has 1st press YAX 881-8, YAX 882-8, YAX 883-9, YAX 884-9, YAX 885-8 and YAX 886-10 matrix numbers.
This is a rare UK Stereo Classical 3 LP Box Set in excellent overall condition. I have some other rare UK Classical/ Opera LP's for sale too. So please see my other listings.
Box: Very nice! There is a very small 1 cm seam splt at the top spine edge, of the front part of the box set only. There is some light to mild rubbing wear to three corner edges. There is a circular sticker stain on the back board. This was probably from the original gold "Stereophonic" sticker. The sticker is absent. There is some light to mild rubbing to the bottom edge in a few places. There is a 2 cm area of rubbing wear at the centre of the back board - at the opening edge. The spine is in excellent condition overall. The text has not faded or been rubbed. VG++ condition. The Booklet is in Very Near EX condition. It is totally complete & shows very minimal wear only.
Vinyl 1: Very nice! Just some light or very light sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. The polythene inner has left some mild or minor marks. These are mainly visible on one side only. NEAR EX condition. I have play tested this LP in its entirety & it plays Excellent to Excellent+ overall, Really well indeed! The labels are in excellent+ condition and show minimal spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in Near Excellent condition. There is some light ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.
Vinyl 2: Very nice indeed! Just some light or very light sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. EX condition. >> Grading Information All grading is very strict & adheres to 'Record Collector' specifications. However, I have fine tuned them & they are explained below. All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light & play tested.
MINT Condition = As good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate!
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.
EX Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under strong light. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with no distortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.
NEAR EX Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only; that barely detract from the sound quality. Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear. A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
VG Condition = A well played but serviceable copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears. The record will not be trashed!!

Please note that these prices are as a general guideline only. For example: Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs. One parcel must not exceed 2kg (approximately 4-6 LPS).
All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7". I use a cruciform box for larger orders (4-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).
I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...
