Description
Nice clean copy of this classic Kiss album, released in Casablanca Records in 1977. It was the band’s 6th studio LP and the first of theirs to feature on Casablanca’s newly formed Record And Filmworks label.
One quirk of this release, is the translucent red vinyl, only visible when held up to a strong light source.
By way of explanation, and despite popular claims, these translucent reds are not special editions or secret limited releases. Many records pressed by Pye’s Tranco plant in Surrey during the 1970s carry this feature. It’s simply a result of the PVC composition they were using at the time.
They are nice though, and collectors do seem to covet them.
This LP was critically acclaimed and sold very well. It was distributed extensively worldwide across all formats - particularly popular on cassette.
This is a lovely surviving U.K. original and now in its 42nd year!!

Vinyl: EX A lovely clean copy considering its age. The vinyl has only the lightest of superficial hairline surface marks and retains an astonishing lustre and sheen. Play-tested and reproduction is fantastic.
Labels are custom-designed with band-figures imposed in front of the standard Casbah design. Logo is printed in a neon-light style font. Label-text is black, labels are very clean with hardly any discernible spindle-wear.
Sleeve: VG+ Shoes some signs of handling & wear but still in great shape for its age. Matt finished card sleeve with band illustration posing on front cover in front of admiring worshippers. Rear cover features similar setting, with all personnel removed. Tracklisting and credits appear on rear cover.
Structurally sound with no splits or tears. There’s some minor edge & corner wear, but it is in its fifth decade! Some sticker residue on front cover top-left.
Complete with stiff card inner bag, rounded corners and with full colour Kiss branding on both sides. This inner is in super condition too.
A really nice surviving example from a hugely collectable band.
