Original vintage 1974 Casablanca Records set consisting of a factory sealed copy of the revised issue of Kiss’ debut album and one of the first merch items of the newly formed record company, a promotional “Kiss” T-shirt. This rarest T-shirt represents a true holy grail for “Kiss” collectors. It was a part of the Casablanca Records’ promotional campaign supporting the release of the band’s debut album and was shipped to record stores for the employees to wear. The T-shirt has a few very interesting features. Under the image of Gene Simmons, it contains the credit “Lockart” belonging to the design company that created the album cover’s concept artwork. The very same credit can be found on the album’s back cover under “Art Direction / Design”. Unlike the photograph taken by the legendary photographer Joel Brodsky present on the front cover, the image on the T-shirt is executed in the form of a drawing. What really brings your attention is the fact that the image of Ace Frehley implied the light hair. The blonde Spaceman looks completely different on the T-shirt than on the album cover. No less rare in this set is the 1st pressing factory sealed copy of the band’s debut album. It represents the 1st revised issue featuring the “KISSIN’ TIME” track. The 1st print cover of this copy still indicates “Deuce” as the 1st track of Side 2 but contains the original 3½” x 1½” black sticker with the red text on the front reading "Includes: KISSIN' TIME, STRUTTER NOTHIN' TO LOSE NB 9001". The front cover also contains a record store price sticker with a star image. Of course, it could be called unusual, not only because it’s gold-foil, but also because it was affixed as if on purpose to complement the star on Paul Stanley’s face. The Casablanca Records labels of this issue still have the 1st generation design, blue with the Bogart “Smoking Man”, but already list the “KISSIN’ TIME” track as the 1st track of Side 2. The 3rd item in this set is a vintage 8¾” x 11⅛” “Kiss” debut album cover artwork notebook. Due to the absence of any credits on it, our description of this item has a hypothetical nature. The lined notebook looks original and very vintage. It could be assumed that the notebook was handmade from the original very early 1st print cover. If this is the case then it was done impeccably and looks like it was factory made.

If you're a fan of Kiss than you would know how hard it is to find a copy of this album in great condition, not to even mention a factory sealed copy. This album is in gorgeous condition and is graded as Mint Minus. The cover only has the corner creases at the bottom right on the front and back. Aside from that, the factory shrink wrap doesn't have any tears, splits or missing pieces and is fully intact containing the original breathe holes, two on each side of the album. The original Casablanca Records promotional campaign T-shirt is in great vintage condition. It had a few holes which have been repaired by a professional tailor. The original "Kiss" notebook is in unused condition.
