THE KINKS: ARE THE VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY Reprise R-6327original 1st press 'steamboat' stickered white label promo
US LPs because of their type of manufacture - pasted slicks on thick card stock often did not wear well this copy this copy is in very good condition 50 year old LP. The LP includes the original Reprise inner sleeve advertising other acts on the label. The LP is a stickered Reprise 'steamboat' white label promo. original
The sleeve exhibits noticeable wear to the front, the back is very good condition - see photo. Other than that sleeve exhibits no major defects and is graded VG.
The LP has been graded visually under a strong light and retains a deep shine and lustre (which makes it hard to photograph - note: the lines you see are not defects, but are reflections) and no discernable marks such it is graded Ex+. Please study the pictures as they form part of the description. I also believe I grade conservatively and err on the side safety if in doubt.

A bit of added info for those interested in this white label promo. From 1967 onwards (Something Else onwards as far as the Kinks are concerned). Reprise stopped issuing mono stock mono copies LPs. But carried on distributing mono promo labels LPs to radio stations and the like.
As such stereo promo white labels Reprise LPs are extremely rare as they were not routinely distributed and had to be requested and produced in very low quantities - therefore, stereo white label promos like the one available in this auction are uncommon, add to the mix the VGPS started out as slow seller and 1st press copies are very uncommon and hard to source. So, this is a near unique opportunity to snag a major rarity.
