Description
From my personal collection 2 stunning copies of legendary King Crimson albums. I have owned these albums from original release. They have been looked after and I provide the following assessment.
1. Starless and Bible Black: 1974 original pressing on Island label, with pink outer ring and palm tree ILPS.9275.
The album sleeve is in overall good condition for its 40 years of age, with slight shelf ware on bottom right corner and the odd ageing marks, which are to be expected. The rear side of the gatefold sleeve as a crease, which can be seen in the attached photos.
The album comes with the original inner paper lyric dust cover, which is in very good condtion.
The vinyl is in excellent condition with only the odd airline mark, which does not impact playback at all. The record plays well throughout without any clicks, or jumps. The labels are clean and unmarked.
2. Earthbound: 1972 Island label original pressing pink on black HELP 6-A/6-B
The sleeve is in overall good condtion, with ring and edge era. There is a small tear on the opening pocket, which is visible on the 1st photo, but nothing surprising given the albums 42 years age. The album also comes with the original black die cut inner dust cover, which is also in very good condtion.
The vinyl is in excellent condition with only the occasion hairline mark that you would normally associate with 42 year old albums. Both sides play back without click or jumps, as if new. Both labels are clean and without marks and writing.
Until putting these albums up for auction they have not been played in over 2 decades given I have CD copies. The records were cleaned and played prior to listing.
All my records are maintained in a smoke, dust and pet free environment. Postage costs are for the UK only. Non UK bidders will need to wait until I have invoiced them before progressing to PayPal.
